NEW WORDS
Students should extract new words by themselves from chapter No. 1 and write them on neat copies as vocabulary words. There is no need to memorize these words but students should be able to read and understand these words as I explained and discussed in class.

NEW TERMS AND ABBREVIATIONS
Students should learn these terms and abbreviation. It will be the part of exam.
1.    Surfing:
       It means to search information on particular topic on internet.
2.    Cc:
       Cc stands for Carbon copy. It means to send the same content to several people at the same time.
3.    URL:
       URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is the unique address of any web page on the internet.
4.    Bcc:
       Bcc stands for Blind carbon copy. It means to send the same content to several people at the same time but without knowing that others also received the same message.
5.    Email:
       Email stands for Electronic mail. It sends the messages from one device to other electronically.
6.    Information Retrieval:
       It means to extract the information from the database.
7.    Creating Signature:
       It means the text, logo, theme line or any content that will automatically inserted at the bottom of the page.

URL: Uniform Resource Locator is numeric address that is called IP (Internet Protocol) address. This address is creating by the combination of within range 0 to 255. They joined together by dots like: 192.12.148.77.

c. What are the uses of the Sent and the Draft folders?
Answer: Sent folder: It allows you to store the information or message that gas been sent.
Draft folder: It allows to store the information or message that has been not sent.

d. How can you create a signature for your emails?
Answer: Lab work (will be discuss in Computer lab. Students do not have to do this question on neat copies).

e. Analyse how the internet has changed the way we communicate today. Give specific examples where you think the change has been beneficial to our society as a whole.
Answer: Internet has changed the way we communicate today like:
1.   We use digital cards nowadays for greetings that has good quality of graphics and available free of cost.
2.   Online shopping opens modern ways purchasing good stuff by spending less time and less resources.
3.   Online booking of Hotels and cars organizes our life and we can quickly access the services.

f. 'Modern research has become totally dependent on the Internet'. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your response.
Answer: I agreed because:
1.   Research work depends on networking of computers which depend on the internet.
2.   The internet is the information hub so extracting previous research from around the world and linking it with new concepts needs connectivity of people which is impossible without the internet.

g. Draft a detailed email to your principal requesting secondary class students to be allowed monitored Internet access.
