Graphics in Publisher 2013

NEW WORDS
Students should extract new words by themselves from chapter No. 1 and write them on neat copies as vocabulary words. There is no need to memorize these words but students should be able to read and understand these words as I explained and discussed in class.

NEW TERMS AND ABBREVIATIONS
Students should learn these terms and abbreviation. It will be the part of exam.
1.    Caption:
       Mostly it is used in documents for graphics. It is a reference text giving short description below the picture.
2.    Picture Placeholder:
       The term placeholder defines to hold something so when it combines with picture gives meaning that it's a frame to place the picture.
3.    Thumbnail:
       This term is related to the display of picture. Thumbnail represents the image in reduced size.
4.    Scratch Area:
       We can use different pages in a document. It is the area that is not used but appears at the corners of pages in grey colour.
5.    Building Blocks:
       It is the set of different objects having the combination of text, images and shapes. They will use when we design the publication.

All options can affect a presentation:
* Editing pictures can set the pictures and graphics.
* Shape tools will allow good presentation of the document.
* Charts will help to do analysis of physical characteristics.
* Building blocks create pre-defined objects which ease the user for designing.

d. Using your Science textbook as an example, evaluate the different graphic features used in the book.
