Objects in Word 2013

NEW WORDS
Students should extract new words by themselves from chapter No. 1 and write them on neat copies as vocabulary words. There is no need to memorize these words but students should be able to read and understand these words as I explained and discussed in class.

NEW TERMS AND ABBREVIATIONS
Students should learn these terms and abbreviation. It will be the part of exam.
1.    Objects:
       All the tools that we are using in MS Word 2013 except text and tables are called objects.
2.    WordArt:
       It's the feature of MS Word 2013 that provides us a variety to write text in different styles.
3.    Text Wrap:
       It is a feature in which the cursor moves automatically to a new line for writing when the cursor reaches the border.
4.    Line Style:
       MS Office provides us a great facility to draw the border lines of any shape with different thickness.
5.    Cropping:
       It is the feature in which we can use the movement of the mouse to remove the unwanted part of any image.
6.    Alignment:
       The word alignment is derived from align which means the horizontal and vertical lines that will arrange the data in a proper way.
7.    Gradient:
       It is a feature in which we add color to the shapes in different shades.
8.    Bing Image Search:
       It is a search box in which we type the name of the image with which it is saved.
9.    Transform:
       It is a feature with which we can apply any property on the existing object like text or shapes.
10.  Format:
       It is a predefined arrangement or setup which we do before taking data from the user.

d. How will adding images of varying sizes to your document make it more interesting? Is this important?
Answer: Yes, it is important because we can easily deliver the concept using images of different sizes plus it makes the document more attractive.

e. A photo competition requires you to submit a photo of a house but your photo also has trees in it. What steps will you take to remove the trees from the photo? Do you think this attention to detail is crucial to your finished entry?

Answer: The 'Adjust' group improve the appearance of an image in the following ways:
1. Set sharpen and soften of image.
2. Set brightness and contrast of the image.
3. Set color, tone and gradient of the image.

g. Why is text wrapping a valuable feature of the Word program?
Answer: Text wrapping is a valuable features of the word program because it allows the cursor to move automatically to a new line when cursor reaches to its border. This feature saves time and reduces the labour work.
