Answer: i.   For single 'CTRL + 1' is the shortcut to change the line spacing.

b. What do you mean by default settings?
Answer: Default settings mean the standard or pre-defined settings in the software.

c. How can you insert a page break in a document?
Answer: If I want to insert page break in the document, I have to choose the position in the document then go the INSERT tab to insert page break in a document.

d. Differentiate between horizontal alignment and vertical alignment of text?
Answer:

e. In Word 2013 look at the 'paper' tab. Explore the different paper sizes and in particular, note the dimensions (width and height) of A4 sized paper. Why do you think A4 paper is the most widely used size of paper? Why not a smaller size or a bigger size?
Answer: A4 paper consider the most suitable paper size for computer because it has adjustable size with the printer. It is also compatible with the pre-defined settings of the software.

f. Explain how you will format your school magazine in five columns. Do you think it will look good with 5 columns? Would an even number of columns give it a better look? Why do you think this?
Answer: To split the data into five columns. I just have to select 'insert table' and select the columns and rows by dragging.
Yes, I think it looks good because it will be presentable by adding columns.
It depends on the amount and structure of data. If it is adjustable in even number of rows then it looks better and if it is adjustable in odd number of columns then it looks better.
